Large corporations and government users benefit from having the ability to setup Hamilton Systems GPS Tracking on their own private IP based network, with no dependancies on external resources such as the internet.  This for example, allows companies to share a common AVL application on their private intranet while maintaining their current level of security.

Because of the inherent flexibility and open standards format, integration with existing software is straight forward and often requires little development.  Additionally, the database is stored on the customer servers allowing for retrieval of large history files instantly and full access to all GPS related data.

Scalability and Performance

Agencies with over 1000 vehicles can easily host their entire fleet on one server. With a per vehicle update rate of 1 report every 5 seconds, a fleet of 1000 vehicles would consume less bandwidth than a 56kbps dial-up connection.

Should the system require future expansion, Hamilton Systems GPS Tracking can be distributed to multiple servers with minimal re-configuration.
